Frequently Asked Questions

How much notice do we need to request an interpreter?

We accept requests at any time, and will always work on finding an Interpreter for your assignment, no matter how little notice is given. However, we do appreciate having 5-7 days notice, since this will increase our ability to schedule an interpreter for your assignment.

Do you charge travel time?

For appointments lasting less than 1 ½ hours, we do charge a fee for travel time. This fee will vary depending on both, mileage, and distance. Please feel free to contact us to receive more information, we will be happy to help you.

Do you charge for phone usage?

We add a small fee for phone usage; only if the interpreter must use his/her own phone to schedule or confirm an appointment. Rates may also change if the interpretation must be done over the phone at the interpreter’s expense.

Do you have minimum charge ability policy?

Yes, we do. We require a minimum of ONE hour per assignment.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require a 24-hour cancellation notice for assignments for which only one interpreter was booked. For assignments for which two or more interpreters were booked, we appreciate at least a 48-hour notice either by e-mail or phone call.

How do I make a request for an interpreter?

You can either use the request form on our website, send an e-mail directly to mkirchmer@noboundariesforinterpreting.com, or even call our Managing Director, Monica Kirchmer, directly at 484-889-1899

How do I request a translation of a document?

Requesting a translation is done the same way as for interpreting services. Through the request form on our website, by e-mail, or a phone call.

How soon do you respond to a request and can confirm an interpreter?

You’ll be contacted within 24 hours after your request has been submitted. It usually takes us between 24 and 48 hours to assign the interpreter and confirm his/her name with you.

This is my first time calling you for services. What information do I need to provide?

We want to make it easy for you! There’s already a request form on our “Contact Us” tab. Just click and fill in the required information. That’s all we need, and we’ll take it from there!

 How do you handle a translation request?

First, we would give you a quote on the translation, this varies depending on the length of the document. Once you pre-approve the quote, it normally takes us 7 to 10 days to have your document ready.
